Solar Panel, Battery and V2H Installation in the Alpes-Maritimes
REGIS ELECTRIC designs and installs high-quality residential solar energy systems throughout the Alpes-Maritimes and the French Riviera, including Valbonne, Mougins, Mouans-Sartoux, Grasse, Cannes and Roquefort-les-Pins.
Based in Valbonne, we are first and foremost a qualified electrical company. We design the complete energy system around your home: solar panels, physical battery storage, smart energy management, back-up power and electric vehicle charging.
We now mainly recommend Sigenergy SigenStor for projects combining solar generation, battery storage, home back-up and future V2H capability. We also install and maintain solutions from Enphase, Huawei and APsystems whenever their technology is better suited to the roof, the property or the client's priorities.

A solar installation designed around your home
An efficient photovoltaic system is not simply the system with the largest possible number of panels. It must be correctly sized around the way your household actually uses electricity.
Before recommending any equipment, we assess:
-
your annual electricity consumption and when it occurs during the day;
-
the orientation, pitch and available area of your roof;
-
shading from trees, chimneys or neighbouring buildings;
-
your existing electrical installation and subscribed power;
-
current or future loads such as air conditioning, a swimming pool, heat pump or electric vehicle;
-
whether your priority is lower bills, greater self-consumption, energy storage, back-up power or increased energy independence.
This detailed approach allows us to design a coherent, safe and expandable system without unnecessary oversizing.
Sigenergy SigenStor: our preferred solution for solar and battery storage
For new residential projects involving a physical battery, REGIS ELECTRIC most often recommends Sigenergy SigenStor.
SigenStor brings the main components of a modern home energy system into one integrated ecosystem:
-
a high-performance solar inverter;
-
modular physical battery storage;
-
intelligent energy management;
-
monitoring of solar production and household consumption;
-
optional whole-home or selected-circuit back-up;
-
smart electric vehicle charging;
-
integration with the Sigenergy EVDC and compatible V2H/V2X projects.
The system can be sized for your present needs and expanded as your consumption changes. Additional battery capacity can be considered later, for example when a swimming pool, heat pump or electric vehicle is added to the property.
The mySigen app displays the energy flows between the solar panels, home, battery, grid and vehicle. It makes the complete system easy to understand and allows you to see how your solar energy is being produced, stored and used.

Solar battery and back-up power: two different functions
A physical solar battery stores surplus energy produced during the day so that it can be used later, particularly in the evening and at night.
Back-up power provides an additional function. With the correct equipment and electrical architecture, it can keep all or part of the home powered during a public grid outage.
A battery alone does not automatically provide back-up. REGIS ELECTRIC designs the complete installation and determines with you:
-
the battery capacity that is genuinely useful;
-
whether the entire home or only priority circuits should be backed up;
-
the power required to start and operate essential equipment;
-
the minimum battery reserve to keep available;
-
the most appropriate solution for your single-phase or three-phase supply.
This design work is essential because a standard grid-connected solar installation normally shuts down during a power cut. Continued power requires a purpose-built isolation and back-up system.
V2H: use a compatible electric vehicle to power your home
Vehicle-to-Home, or V2H, is one of the most important developments in residential energy management. With a compatible vehicle and bidirectional charging system, electricity can flow not only from the home to the car, but also from the vehicle battery back to the house.
Your electric vehicle can therefore become an additional energy reserve. Depending on the configuration, it may help you:
-
use stored energy in the evening or during peak-price periods;
-
increase the amount of solar energy used within the home;
-
support the house during a grid outage when the installation is designed for this purpose;
-
reduce reliance on electricity imported from the grid.
The Sigenergy EVDC integrates with the SigenStor ecosystem to manage solar production, the home battery, the grid and compatible electric vehicles. This makes Sigenergy particularly relevant for homeowners who want to prepare their property for V2H and V2X rather than install a conventional solar system that cannot easily evolve.
Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) refers to exporting electricity from the vehicle to the public grid, while Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) is the broader term covering several bidirectional uses, including V2H.
Vehicle compatibility must always be confirmed before installation. The available bidirectional functions depend on the manufacturer, model, model year, vehicle software, connector and services authorised in France.

Enphase, APsystems and Huawei: the right technology for each project
Sigenergy is our main solution for integrated solar, physical storage, back-up and V2H projects, but no single technology is ideal for every property. As an independent, multi-brand installer, REGIS ELECTRIC also works with Enphase, APsystems and Huawei.
Enphase microinverters
Enphase remains an excellent residential solution when panel-level operation is particularly valuable. Each panel has its own microinverter, which makes the system well suited to roofs with several orientations, variable shading or a need for detailed panel-by-panel monitoring.
Enphase is a proven, modular solution and can be particularly relevant when the project focuses primarily on solar production or when roof geometry makes a central inverter less suitable.
APsystems microinverters
APsystems provides reliable microinverter solutions that can offer a strong balance between panel-level optimisation, monitoring and project cost. We may recommend APsystems for selected residential installations where a microinverter architecture is appropriate.
Huawei solar and battery systems
Huawei offers a well-established range of solar inverters, optimisers and LUNA battery solutions. Its technology can be a good fit for certain string-inverter projects, including properties requiring panel optimisation or an established hybrid solar and storage architecture.
Our role is not to impose a brand. We compare the roof, electrical system, expected consumption, storage requirements and future plans before recommending Sigenergy, Enphase, APsystems or Huawei.
Sigenergy or microinverters: which system is right for you?
Sigenergy is generally our preferred choice when:
-
the project includes a physical battery from the outset;
-
solar, storage and back-up need to work as one system;
-
the main objective is greater energy independence;
-
fast DC vehicle charging or V2H/V2X is planned;
-
the home requires comprehensive, intelligent energy management.
Enphase or APsystems microinverters may be particularly suitable when:
-
the roof has several orientations or complex geometry;
-
shading differs significantly from one panel to another;
-
individual panel monitoring is a priority;
-
the solar array may need to be expanded progressively;
-
the project focuses mainly on solar generation without substantial physical storage.
The final choice is made after a technical assessment. A Sigenergy storage system may also be integrated with solar panels already operating through Enphase, APsystems, Huawei or another compatible inverter architecture.
Charge your electric vehicle with solar energy
A smart EV charger can automatically adjust its charging power to use available solar surplus instead of exporting it to the grid.
With the SigenStor ecosystem, the Sigenergy EVDC can go further by coordinating the solar panels, physical home battery, grid and vehicle in a single energy system. With a compatible car and the correct configuration, this architecture can also provide a route towards bidirectional V2H/V2X use.
REGIS ELECTRIC holds both RGE QualiPV certification for photovoltaic installations and IRVE Recharge+ qualification for electric vehicle charging infrastructure. This combined expertise is especially valuable when solar panels, batteries, back-up power and EV charging must operate safely together.

Frequently asked questions about solar panels and batteries
What size solar panel system does my home need?
The correct size depends on your annual electricity consumption, daytime usage, available roof area and current or planned electrical equipment. A personalised study avoids unnecessary panels and identifies how much of the generated energy can realistically be used or stored.
Why does REGIS ELECTRIC mainly install Sigenergy today?
Sigenergy combines solar generation, modular physical battery storage, intelligent energy management, back-up and EV charging within one integrated ecosystem. It is particularly suitable for homes seeking greater self-consumption, resilience and energy independence, as well as future V2H capability.
Do you still install Enphase and APsystems microinverters?
Yes. Enphase and APsystems remain relevant solutions for many homes, particularly where the roof has multiple orientations, variable shading or a need for panel-level operation and monitoring. We select the technology according to the actual requirements of the property.
Do you install Huawei solar systems?
Yes. We install and work with Huawei inverters, optimisers and battery solutions when their architecture is well suited to the project. Our multi-brand experience allows us to recommend the most coherent technical solution rather than forcing every home into the same system.
Can a Sigenergy battery be added to an existing solar installation?
In some configurations, yes. A Sigenergy storage solution may be integrated with an existing installation using Enphase, APsystems, Huawei or another manufacturer. We must first assess the electrical architecture, power levels, metering and back-up objectives.
Will a solar battery keep my home powered during a power cut?
Not automatically. The installation must include a suitable isolation and back-up system. We determine which circuits or whether the whole home should be supported, then size the inverter, battery and protection system accordingly.
What is V2H charging?
V2H means Vehicle-to-Home. A compatible bidirectional charger can use energy stored in an electric vehicle battery to help power the home. The exact functions depend on the vehicle and the equipment authorised and available in France.
Can I charge my electric car using only surplus solar power?
Yes. With compatible metering and a smart EV charger, the charging rate can follow the available solar surplus and reduce the amount of electricity imported from the grid.
How long does a residential solar installation take?
The physical installation and commissioning of a standard residential system usually take a few days. The full project schedule must also allow time for the technical study, local planning declaration, equipment procurement, grid procedures and conformity process.
What qualifications does REGIS ELECTRIC hold?
REGIS ELECTRIC is RGE QualiPV qualified for photovoltaic installations and IRVE Recharge+ qualified for electric vehicle charging infrastructure. This combination is particularly important for projects integrating solar panels, battery storage, back-up and intelligent or bidirectional charging.
